Sophia Vehlhaber
"I’ve been a receptionist with Devon Oaks since
February 2008. I live in Brook Park Ohio.
Working at Devon Oaks is a very rewarding job, when you can do the
smallest task and make someone's day. It's such a great feeling
knowing you've helped someone. However the real gift are things they
teach me. Some residents can make you feel like a million bucks. The
things they say, they speak from the heart and they are so sincere.
I enjoy interacting with the staff, the residents and their
families. The atmosphere here is wonderful. It is a life experience
I will treasure and carry with me for the rest of my life."
Family:
"I've been married 30 years to Kim. I have one son
and two granddaughters and two dogs."
Things of interest:
Gardening, swimming, scrap booking, and walking when the weather is
nice.
Congratulations Sophia!!

Paulette Maline, Unit Manager
Paulette has been with EJ
for nearly 20 years and
resides in Lakewood. She has
9 children and has been
married to her husband,
John, for 39 years. Paulette
enjoys soccer, gardening,
and grew pumpkins last year.
We asked Paulette what she
likes most about her job:
“Everyday is different. I
enjoy interacting with the
staff, residents, and
families. I try to make
people feel better” says
Paulette. When asked what
the funniest thing she ever
seen, she replied: “We were
having cement work done and
the contractor just finished
when my sons ‘fire cat’
walked across the cement. To
this day his footprints are
still there. The contractor
was a little upset.”
Congratulations Paulette and thank you for all you do!!

Pam Normant
Congratulations to Pam Normant, the February 2012 Employee of the Month! Pam has been a Housekeeper at The Renaissance since March of 2010
Pam has been awarded Employee of the Month because of her ability to lead by example through the high quality of her work. Pam shows her strong work ethic and dedication for her job through her thorough and detailed oriented work that is apparent after each time she cleans. A coworker described Pam’s work as, “she spring cleans every time she cleans, while the rest of us only spring clean once per year. Now that’s clean!”
In addition to Pam’s superior work quality, she is also a
pleasure to work with. She is kind and outgoing towards her
coworkers and the residents and will never walk past you without
smiling.
Thank you Pam for the above and beyond work you provide
for the residents everyday!
